Covert Affairs’ Christopher Gorham has teamed up with USA’s Characters Unite program for a new cause: Operation Mend.

Established by UCLA, the actor’s alma mater, Operation Mend provides free medical, psychological and surgical care to veterans in all four branches of the military.

“On Covert Affairs, I have the privilege of playing Auggie Anderson, who lost his sight while serving in Iraq,” Gorham says in a new PSA. “Unfortunately, many of our real veterans have severe injuries that require complicated and costly treatment.”

Gorham is encouraging fans to donate on his Omaze page to support Operation Mend up until his birthday on Aug. 14 for an array of prizes, ranging from autographed items and a set visit to a complete outfit worn by Piper Perabo on the show (including Annie’s trademark Louboutin heels).

Get an exclusive look at Gorham’s PSA below, which will premiere after Tuesday’s Covert Affairs episode (10/9c) on USA. “Read more”
